The Pack, Lynch, Pelham, and Bradford families settled in Franklin County during the late 1700s and early to mid 1800s.I am not looking for any specific person, but rather anyone with familial connections to these families.
I know - (1)Thomas Pack (b. 1760) lived in DeKalb County, TN as well as DeKalb Co., AL. Some Packs still live DeKalb, TN. (2) One son, William Jefferson Pack (b. 1797) lived in Marion & Franklin Counties. He married Mary Elizabeth Pelham (b. 1802 in Franklin Co. & died in 1842 in Indian City, OK.) (3) Their son, Joseph (b. 1831) was born in Crow Creek Vslley (Sherwood) in Franklin Co.He married Serena Pelham.(b. 1838) Their daughter, Margaret (b. 1858) married John Bradford (b. 1854.)
(4) John Bradford's father, Anthony Bradford (b. 1823), supposedly came to the US from Scotland in 1850, or shortly before, on a merchant ship. The first record I have on him is that in the 1850 census, he worked for T.C. Bates, a contracting company of the N&C Railroad, to dig and build the tunnel that goes between Cowan & Sherwood in Franklin County. The census lists him as being born in Scotland.
(5)John & Margret's son, Joe Bradford (b. 1885), married Mary Ellen Lynch (b. 1891).
I want to know - (A) in #s 2 & 3 above, were Mary Elizabeth Pelham and Serena Pelham related?
(B) In #2 above, does anyone have any specific information about Mary Elizabeth Pelham and her removal to Oklahoma?
(C)in # 4 above, does anyone have information about Anthony Bradford before he settled in Crow Creek Valley in Franklin County?
(D)Any more information I can find on these, or other families who were related to them.
