Phil, I went ahead and had the early Texas Death Index 1903-1940 checked for both Jennie and Ben.I got a return on a Jennie Doyle and the fact that the death occurred in Hill County makes it fairly likely that it is the one you are searching for.I would suggest going ahead and ordering a death certificate. You never know how many "unknowns" it will show but it has spaces for parents names, parents place of birth, deceased date of birth, informant's name (the one who provides the information for the certificate) and undertaker/funeral home handling the burial. If you are really fortunate it will have the cemetery name. If she died before her husband, he will probably be shown as informant and you will get his full name (Joe Ben, John Benjamin, etc). Here is what was retutned to me: =========================================== A staff search revealed the following information, which may be a match for you.
A staff search of the death index failed to reveal an entry for Ben or Benjamin Doyle. ========================================= If you decide to order a death certificate go to this URL for information: http://www.vitalrec.com/tx.htmlhttp://www.vitalrec.com/tx.html
I hope this information will be of use to youin your search.Have a good New Year! Hugh
