Dear Genealogist: My William Mills Sr. was located in the 1850 Pulaski Co., Arkansas Federal Census. (Eagle Township). His son, William Mills Jr. stayed in Arkansas until 1874 when he moved to Bell Co., Texas with his wife Adeline Myers and their children. The senior William Mills disappeared after that time (1850).
I have recently found out that a William Mills from Texas moved toBrazil in 1868 because of the Civil War.Does anyone out there know anything about the immigration of the "Confederates" to Brazil? We have found some information on this subject, but would really like to talk with someone who is knowledgeable about this migration.
Is there passenger ship records? Anything to help identify this particular William Mills that went to Brazil.I have in my possession several pictures showing my Mills family on board ships, and also standing in front of Myan Pyramids in the late 1800's.Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can email me directly at: Netcomhwy@aol.com
Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.
