Hello Bobby ... do you have any time frames for your Sparks being in any particular area. How long were they in MO ... about when did they marry and move to Texas, and where did they live in TX if you know that.
The reason I ask is that we have Sparks and Strattons in our family. Our Sparks were originally from the Carolinas, then Lamar Co., AL, went to Clay Co., MS, then came to Gregg Co., TX. Our Didamie Sparks, d/o John and Elizabeth Webb Sparks, married John Franklin Cooper, and their child Ophelia Cooper married Francis Clarence Stratton about 1894. The earliest Stratton we have so far is Henry Stratton, b: 1820 in GA. Don't know where the family was before that time. This doesn't necessarily mean that your Sparks are related to ours, but it is such a coincidence that yours is named James "Stratton" Sparks. Some of our Sparks ended up in AR and some may have gone to MO also.
