Linda, The very first thing I would do is send for a copy of his application for CSA pension.I assume he is the J.A. McElreath of Titus County, Texas shown at the CSA Pension sitehttp://zavala.tsl.state.tx.us/lobby/cpi/cpindex.htmhttp://zavala.tsl.state.tx.us/lobby/cpi/cpindex.htm
The next thing would be to establish a time frame for the others on your list. The 115 years you show covers 6 generations of people and either an estimated date of birth or date of death is necessary for each.As a minimum the state of birth (county preferred) or residence at death will greatly increase the chances of finding information on each individual.
I found a John R. McElreath, died 24 Dec 1970 in Potter County, TX and a Cherokee McElreath who died 16 Jan 1997 also in Potter County. These may or may not be a match.I also found where Linda, Carol, Johnnie and James were born in Potter County to John Ralph and wife Cherokee Anderson.
