Hi Bob, Looks like you are just beginning on the search for your family tree, welcome to the world of genealogy. It's a roller coaster ride, with ups and downs, but lots of fun.
First I'd like to warn you WARD is pretty common, so given names, dates (or approximate dates) and locations are good for your queries.Anything to help narrow the playing field. But, work from the known back to the unknown.Don't try to jump to Ireland without building a foundation of information on your family in this country first. You'll save yourself some time and effort in the long run. (^_^)
William Wilson Ward and Nelda Charlotte Hopmann had three children from 1945-1949 in Bexar Co, TX (the index ends in 1949)
Combined info from TX Dth Idx Online and SSDI:
William Wilson Ward, b 27 Apr 1917; d 15 Dec 1993 Bexar Co, TX; last residence San Antonio, Bexar Co, TX; SS card issued in TX.
Nelda Hopmann Ward, b 21 Jan 1918; d 9 Apr 1987 Bexar Co, TX; last residence San Antonio, Bexar Co, TX; SS card issued in TX.
Death cerificates for Wm & Nelda should show the names of their respective set of parents.Accuracy only as good as the knowledge of the informant, but they each filled out their applications for Soc Sec cards, and they should also give names of parents.Once youhave the names of their fathers, you can look for each of those families on the 1920 census and pick up more family data.
