Thank you very much, Hugh. This is my Aunt Bee. I do not know if the name, "Corkie," was her son's real name. It sure sounds like a "nickname." I knew Aunt Bee and Corkie back in the 1930s and very early 1940s. I am 77-years, and our family moved to California in 1940. Living here these many years, I have missed out on "knowing" most all of my family. Soon after I was grown up and married here, my parents moved back to Henderson County, Texas where I was born. The Henry Houston Wood on the site you took me to was my Dad. I posted my message here, "looking for, etc.,"in an attempt to HOPEFULLY come up with some of Aunt Bee's family, grandchildren or great-grandchildren. When I was a child and lived there in Texas, I seem to recall that Aunt Bee lived around Corsicana or Blooming Grove, Texas.
No, I do not recall her husband at all. I do know that Anna Cora (Houston) and Elbert Malachiah Wood, Aunt Bee's parents, are burried at Blooming Grove, Texas. I never knew if Corkie had siblings.
Again, I do thank you so much. Everything I get on the family is just great.....Margie (Wood) Israel at: firstname.lastname@example.org
