You didn't include any dates, or approximate dates, in your query, so I went looking at your message history. In another post you mention the family being on the 1880 Habersham Co. census, luckily in this post you included the state -- GA.

On the 1900 census Major is in Grayson Co, TX.I believe the Claud W. is probably the Clade listed above. No Thomas B.
By 1910 Claud is in Tarrant Co, TX, then I seem to lose him.Major stays in Grayson Co, TX until the 1930 census when he shows up in Hale Co, TX.Checking the Grayson Co, TX GenWeb site, I don't see any of the family buried there, but I suggest you look and take more time, the names are more familiar to you.
On that site, there are a couple of births in 1926 that look interesting.Mother is Martelie Vermanina Echols for one child, wonder if she is the Marttie as daughter of Major on census records(?)And Lillie Echols is listed as a mother, could she be the Lillie listed as a daughter of Major, also?If so, Lillie's husband is John Tumey and Martelie's husband is Elzie Monroe Larkin (not a common name).
On the SSDI:
Larkin, Elzie, b 2 Sep 1891; d Aug 1977; last residence Hermiston, Umatilla Co, OR; SS card issued in OR.
Using an online directory such as -- http://www.switchboard.comhttp://www.switchboard.com -- type in surname of Larkin, town of Hermiston, state of OR and there are two listings, you might try contacting them, see if they are descendants of Major Echols and Catherine Davis.
Major's wife is listed Kate, Catherine and Mary C.On the 1920 & 1930 census Marttie Davis lives with them and is listed as sister-in-law to Major. She is single and birth location for her and her parents match Catherine's, so I would assume Catherine's maiden name is Davis.
Was Amanda married prior to her marriage to Thomas? Are you sure they were married in Habersham Co, GA?On the 1870 census Madison Co, GA:
Echols, Thomas B., 28, b GA " Amanda E., 34. b GA " James R., 13, b GA " William J., 10, b GA " Mary E.W., 1, b GA
Quite a gap in age of children, and Thomas would be pretty young to be father of those first two children.I think I found him still at home in Habersham Co, GA, living with Darias Echols b VA, which matches birth location for father of Thomas on 1880 census.
Amanda's father is on the 1860 census Madison Co, GA, but Amanda is not living at home. Was she married to someone else at that time?
Darias Echols and Levi Tolbert should be fairly easy to find on the 1850 census.I do not have access to it online.
