I checked your message history hoping to find other posts with enough info to answer some of my questions. This is your only post and your eddess is "hidden."That often means the post is by a professional.
But, giving you the benefit of the doubt, you say:
He first appears on a Texas census in 1870 in Kaufman county (in the town of Pyle Prairie) as a farmhand in the Wm. Burrell household. He states his birthplace as Texas, and that of each parent as TN. His age is given as 17.
The 1870 census only asks location of birth for each individual and not for their parents. So, I thought you probably meant the info came from the 1880 census. And you said:
Wm and Mellie are in the Bell county census in 1870, and Williamson couny census in 1880.
I thought that odd as you said Wm was in Kaufman Co, TX in 1870.I finally found the couple in Bell Co, TX in 1880, or at least I think it is them. Now, the birth locations for William's parents are blank.
There is a W.C.T. Frazure, 46, b TN, with a William A., 8, b TX, on the 1860 census Kaufman Co, TX.He owns land.I do not see him there in 1870, could he have died in the Civil War?I would check land and probate records for Kaufman Co, TX see if he sells or dies, and either prove or disprove this man.
