On that 1930 census at what age does it show R.C. got married? Not always reliable, but it is supposed to show the "first" time they married, and sometimes on couples I know had a previous marriage they give the age they were married to their present spouse.Hopefully if R.C. was married before he will show age at the time of that marriage, then you can compare age and difference in time between when R.C. first married and when Myrtle first married.
Since R.C. is older then Myrtle, he could have been married before, and Jewel a daughter of that marriage.
Well, I went looking for R.C. and look what I found.1910 census Pottawatomie Co, OK:
Green, R.C., h, 25, M(1) 1, b AR, KY, KY " Myrtle, w, 20, M(1) 1 yr, 0 ch, b AR, TN, MO
Now, there is the possibility R.C. had two wives, both named Myrtle, and this is his first wife and probably mother of Jewell, or he is the wrong feller. The fact that the names of the children fits, makes me lean towards this being the same R.C.(^_^)
My mother was named Iola andmy stepmother was Viola.I've always wondered if this had happened in earlier generations, and no pictures of the ladies were around, if descendants would think it was the same woman and my dad only married once????
I would zero in on marriage records for Pottawatomie Co, OK, see if you can find more then one marriage for R.C.Check what is available online at the Pottawatomie Co, OK GenWeb site, if marriages not online, then try RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) site. There are several volunteers listed, and one in particular will do marriage record lookups.
