Thank you for responding Joan. I have the 1840 Greene County, Arkansas census and it has Daniel & Littleberry both listed in Cache Township. Daniel's children were raised there and his descentants still live there.I think that Daniel & Littleberry went there in the early 1830's if I have my facts straight, and Littleberry went on to Texas after the 1840 census. I have a single sheet of paper that I found in the San Bernardino County, California Library regarding Littleberry. There is nothing known of Littleberry in our family history after he left for Texas (according to family history).
This sheet of paper say's that the information is obtained from the 1830, Trigg Co, KY census and the 1840,1850 & 1860 Greene County, ARK census.Family Bible of James Hooten Ray in possession of Ludie Bell Ray Fuller and also information in "The Futrell Family of America" by Roger Henry L. Futrell. The compiler is Mrs. Pat Culpepper of Austin TX.
It has Littleberry's birthdate as 3 Aug 1806 in Christian County, KY married about 1824-1828 (no wife shown) and shows that he was alive in 1850 Census Union Township, Greene County, AR.His second wife was Matilda ____? they married before 1850. Matilda was born abt. 1818 in TN.
Children were: 1) Son, 1825-1830 KY 2) Daughter 1825-1830 KY 3) Amy Futrell 5 Feb 1830 Canton, Trigg Co, Ky married William N. Ray/Rea abt.1849 Greene Co, AR, died 13 Oct. 1901 Klondike, Delta Co, TX, buried at Old Klondike Cem., Delta Co., TX 4) Rebecca Futrell abt 1835, married B.M.Mc Kinley about 1856 Greene Co.,ARK (prob) 5) Elizabeth Futrell abt. 1838 Greene Co., ARK (prob)
Littleberry's parents were Nathan Futrell (Rev.War) & Charity (Futrell) Futrell
All of the above information seems to say he remained in Arkansas, although our history said he moved on to Texas.
If you have any more to add I would very much appreciate it.Thank you, Charlene Peel
