The 1880 Grayson Co census may be correct but I have not been able to find anything to verify it.The age is about right on that census.I found that there were quite a few families from Kentucky that settled in Grayson Co.
She was married to another man around 1880 and we have not been able to find any marriage records either. She had the first children by her previous husband and Thornton apparently adopted them. She's on the 1880 census in Missouri but moves to NM and has a child within a very short time after. We have no record of him ever going to NM but I have left postings with no result. Also, NM was a territory at that time so the census was not done the same as for a state. Then there's the problem with the 1890 census being destroyed.
I went to Tarrant County two years ago on a trip but they could not find his death certificate so I have to try the capitol.I did take photos of his gravesite.
I have not tried the male children so might do that. His sons were Larkin Clay and Lee Harrison.
