I am looking for information about my great grandmother’s second husband-James T. Scott.
James T. Scott was born November 18, 1863 in Tennessee and died June 23, 1939 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
James T. and Alma Hinde (Carrell) Thomas (July 4, 1870-January 26, 1946) had several children:
1. J. T. (Jay) Scott born April 8, 1904 and died 1975 2. Howard Scott born 1905-1912 3. Sterling Stanley Scott born May 1, 1907 and died April 4, 1942 4. Twin to Sterling Stanley born May 1, 1907 and died shortly after 5. Another Child, of whom I am not sure of the gender
James T. Scott’s mother was a Hamilton before her marriage to Mr. Scott, but James T. grew up in his Grandparents Hamilton’s home.
James’ first marriage was to a woman whose maiden name was Steele. This marriage resulted in at least four boys, one whose name was Earl.During WWI all sons were in the service at the same time, three came back, one didn’t.
James married an Indian woman and had two children by her.
His third marriage was to Alma. ---------------------------- Morning Avalanche Journal-June 24, 1939
