I am interested in any information about the children of Marina Coggins and Addison Conner, specifically their son Lee.
I have seen the 1880 census that indicates that they had a son named Lee. My grandfather's maternal grandparents were Lee J. Conner and Sallie C. Nail.
Lee's estimated date of birth, corresponds to the year that is shown for Marina and Addison's son Lee, and the location of the census record (Llano, Texas) is the same location that I show Lee and Sallie on the 1900 Census.
I found a family record on Ancestry.com for Addison and Marina that showed their son Lee also had the middle initial of "J.", same as my Lee. Also their Lee had an older brother named John A. Conner and my Lee had a son named John A. Conner, possibly a namesake?
However, I am looking for anyone that might have some more concrete information, perhaps Lee's wife's name or names of Lee's children... Anything that could more firmly tie My Lee J. Conner into this family line would be appreciated.
Below is the information I have confirmed about Lee and Sallie from my grandfather, census's, a copy of their marriage certificate and a family record of their children's births:
Lee J. CONNER, b. about 1866 m. Jun 25, 1890 in Voca, Texas, Sallie C. NAIL b. about 1874, d. 1937 Lubbock, Texas.
James E. Conner, b. April 11, 1891, Texas
John A. Conner, b. July 21, 1892, Texas, m. about 1917 Luella (unknown surname)
Amanda B. Conner, b. Jan 16, 1894, Texas
Lottie E. Conner, b. August 21, 1895, Texas
Susie M. Conner, b. March 5, 1897, Texas
Cordas C. Conner, b.April 11, 1899, Texas
Ellis E. Conner, b. December 2, 1900, Texas
Ira K. Conner, b. December 11, 1902, Texas
Odessa Mae Conner, b. August 26, 1904, Texas, d. 1924, Lubbock, Texas, m. James Clyde (J.C.) Foreman
Jossie Conner, b. July 23, 1906, Texas
Oma J. Conner, b. March 7, 1908, Texas
Jessie J. Conner, b. May 15, 1910, Texas
Almie Conner, b. February 11, 1912, Texas
Thurman Conner, b. August 17, 1913, Texas
According to my grandfather, Sallie Nail was all or part Native American, my research is so far indicating she might have been Choctaw. The 1900 census records shows Sallie was born in Indian Territory, however subsequent census's show her born in Texas.
Spellings for some names could be different, such as Nale instead of Nail.
Again, any information that my Lee Conner, is indeed the son of Addison and Marina would be greatly appreciated, and I would love to connect with any family in this line. My grandfather is still alive and having recently lost my grandmother, he might like to reconnect with family, especially his sister, whom he had lost contact with quite some time ago. I would also love to be able add sibling information to my files.
Thanks for your time,
