San Angelo Jeff Brown, 36, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 21, 2005, at his residence in San Angelo.
Jeff was born Oct. 16, 1968, in Kermit to parents, Steve and Maggie Brown. Jeff was active in all elementary, junior high and high school sports and lettered in each sport for the Kermit Yellow Jackets. He graduated from Kermit High School in 1987 and went on to attend Texas Tech University and then Sul Ross State University, where he played football for the university. He also worked for many years with his father at the family business Brown Electric in Kermit. Jeff moved to the San Angelo area in 2005 and went to work for Mertzon Pump and Supply, where he was currently employed. He married Marla Dudley Oct. 16, 2004, in San Angelo. Jeff had many talents and a love of many things; some of them include being a percussionist, having an avid love for music and of course his favorites being a University of Texas Longhorn fan and his love of Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Jeff is survived by his loving family: wife, Marla Brown of San Angelo; one daughter, Caitlyn Rhea Brown of San Angelo; one stepson, Tristan Chase Chapa of San Angelo; his parents, Steve and Maggie Brown of Midland, and Johnny and Lynette Burleson of San Angelo; grandmothers, Janell Brown and Jean Welch, both of Kermit, and Johnnie Carroll of Hobbs, N.M.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shannon and Leon Roach of San Angelo, and Amanda and Brantley Heiser of Midland; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dana and Clifton King of Crane; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Phil and Bernice Dudley of San Antonio; nieces and nephews, Shelby, Darby and Kaci Roach and Jessica, Michael and Josh King; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, at Glen Meadows Baptist Church with the Rev. Sean Parmer officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Michael Chance, Jimmy Awbrey, William Pilkington, Dan Michel, Fred Carrasco, J.J. Hefner and Steve Turnbo.
Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be: Leon Roach, Brantley Heiser and Harvey Hale.
Jeff had eyes and a smile that would light up the world! He was such a wonderful and loving husband, son, father, brother and friend. Jeff would go out of his way to help anyone who needed him. The light of his life was his beautiful daughter, Caitlyn, along with his stepson, Tristan, and also the newest light in his life, his son to be Jeffrey Cade Ross. Jeff, you will always be in our hearts and we dearly miss you!
