To whom it may concern: I am the GGGG Grandson of Moses Walters, brother of Robert Walters Jr, both sons of Robert Walters Sr. Lt Robert Walters Jr. was present at the Battle of Guildford Court House N.C. on March 15, 1781, where George Dotson was also a soldier in his Company. That day, "George Dotson was wounded by a British Ball through the Knee, and he ordered him to the rear" Many years later, being no longer able to earn a living, he applied for a pension. Robert Walters Jr was one of several Affidavits Dotson submitted with his application, which was approved for 4.00 per Month. I have a copy of the Affidavit in my files. Robert Jr.s brother MOSES WALTERS, age 11 at the time of the Battle, is my GGGG Grandfather, a son of Robert Walters, Sr & Johannah McBee. THANKS! HAPPY EASTER!
