Hi Shirley,
Boy, this one is a stinker. I've looked and looked...and only found a few tidbits that you might be interested in.
First, I saw in your posting history that you were looking for Sarah Ann Daughtery/ry/rey death info and burial. While trying to unravel the Daughtery's in Limestone Co. I did find her death certificate and burial info. In case you haven't found it by now, she died in Oct. 1939 at the Rusk State Hospital in Cherokee Co. TX. She's listed in the Texas death certificates as "Weiss." She was buried at the hospital cemetery. It states she's widowed, husband's name is unknown. The informant for the death certificate is the hospital records. Looks like she had only been there about 3 weeks. There's info about getting records from the hosptial at

Second, have you found Sarah and Ruby and Bernice in the 1920 census? This is a doozy. Turns out they are with Sarah's father, William Edward Daughtrey, in Bayside, Refugio Co. TX (wha?). Here's the index listing:
William Daughtrey 60
Tip Dayer 22
Bertie Dayer 7
Ruby Dayer 4 3/12
Yep, Dayer. Actually, when I looked at it it looked closer to Dryer to me, or maybe Duyer. Anyway, I was disturbed by the "Tip" until I read one of your postings and saw that was Sarah's nickname. William is listed as married and a farm laborer. Sarah is widowed. William Jr. is next door with his family.
I had NO luck with the Marcus surname. If you got that from Ruby's death certificate, I would take that with a grain of salt. There are so very few surnames of Marcus floating around that area. What does Bernice's death certificate say?And it appears that William Edward was the informant on Ruby's death certificate. Think there's any chance that it could be J. Marcus Dyer/Dwyer/Dayer? Just a longshot.
I checked the 1937-1939 birth records for Ruby's child that you mentioned, but found nothing. I checked for Ruby, and the closest I could come was Ruby Laura Howser, b June 27 1915 (one day off of Ruby's DOB), with no county listed. That interested me, as that almost looks like an adoption?
My best recommendation is to check the marriage records in Limestone and Robertson for Sarah's marriage license(s).
Sorry I couldn't help more.
Good luck!
Andrea
