Most of us can get a huge amount of information out of the Swedish records without being fluent in Swedish. Once we learn a handful or two of Swedish genealogy words, we have no real problems. (born, baptised, married, died, buried, moved in, moved out, son (same as in English), dotter (daughter), wife (hustru), etc.) Well, handwriting can be a big problem, but truly, there are guidebooks and genealogical dictionaries for Swedish research, and the Swedes on the Sweden forum are wonderful about helping us.
