there is more than one Hiram Pickett born abt the same time
if you could provide wife and children one could narrow it down
the one that died in August 1885 is probably Hiram Wright Pickett, who might be Hiram F Pickett's father
Did your Hiram marry a Blanche Norton...if he did I believe he was sill alive in 1900
