Thanks so much Andrea, this fills in a lot of gaps.I looked at the Mellon Gar listing you sent previously, and it was listed in a column called Parents. The name Hutchinson was listed there, as well as Mellon Gar.I think the Hutchinson referred to the name of his father, and Mellon Gar referred to his mother, not a town in Ireland. Moreover, I think it was not listed correctly. I believe it should be Mellinger, which becomes very interesting in light of the landlady you found by the same name. My wife and I think he probably married the landlady's daughter. So Margaret Hutchinson, wife of Moses, would turn out to be Margaret Mellinger prior to marriage.
On another front, I also found a Griffith's Valuation of Property in Ireland, 1848-1864, listing a Moses Hutchinson owning property in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, and gives a specific location. Our Moses would only have been age 2-6 at the time, so we think there's a good chance that was his father, yet another Moses Hutchinson. What do you think?
