Hi Joan! With love and respect for Joan Rambo, whom I greatly admire, the Bosque Co. Lee/William Robinson are not the right ones. I tracked them in 1900 (it's something I always do when I'm working on a theoretical family...if I can't prove the theory, then I try to disprove), and sure enough, there's William D. Robinson, born in MO, with his wife and daughter Lee, 22. So your Lee married in Archer Co. could not be the same Lee in Bosque in 1880.
I worked on this a bit yesterday, and came up with nothing I didn't think you already had (I saw your Ancestry work and it was great). I saw Lee buried in Roosevelt Co. NM, etc. This is a tough one...common names and the 1880-1900 jump.
I will give you some ideas and ask some questions...maybe some of that will give you and idea.
Questions: How do you know she was born in Young Co? How did you learn about the nickname "Bessie"? Everything I found from the censuses to her tombstone has her as Lee. What was the story about being orphaned? Have you checked for a marriage license and/or marriage application in Archer or Young? Have you check funeral home records? NM death certificate? (She's listed on the NM death certificate index. Bless those folks for transcribing!). Have you checked for land records? Archer and Young counties were pretty wild back then; anything could have happened to her parents. And on a completely wild note, could it be possible she was married before Seefeld?
Anyway, that's my take. Hang in there, something will break someday! Good luck! Andrea
