Right after the World War 1I in 1919 he worked for the James N Darrow & Co Cotton merchants in Houston Texas. I dont think he was there very long. He lived at 1506 Dallas Ave. in Houston.
During the war He was in the navy, served on a "Mystery Ship" Prior to the war he was in the coast guard on the Georgia Coast and served on the Boat "Ann" with Alexander Foster Noyes. This was a very SMALL boat, about the size of a lake motor boat. I have a picture. He was in training at New London, and shipped out sometime in August of 1918
