I noticed you said you have extensive info on Galloways. I just posted a message to the texas forum on suggestion from the Galloway home page. My Great Grandfather was Luther Galloway, he moved to Texas...sometime around the turn of the century I think, He left my grandfather and his wife Rhinda Ledford Galloway in Clay County North Carolina. My grandfather was the only child they had he was born about 1890, His mother remarried and we have no information except my dads bible,,it only list my grandfather, Luther Alonzo Galloway, his father, Luther Galloway and his grandfather is listed as Samuel Galloway. We dont know any more, I would appreciate any help. My father passed away in 1977, he was the oldest of 8 children, there were 5 boys and 3 girls in the family and are all deceased except one brother and one sister. We knw other Galloways here but dont know where we fit in. I have been told that some time in the 40s or 50s that a man came to my grandfathers house in Blue Ridge Georgia and told him he was his half brother from Texas, I have heard that Luther remarried sometime after he got to Texas and had 10 or 11 children.
