Among some items left by my great Aunt Allred was a Voters Registration Booklet of Sanpete County from 1897-1899.I don't know if this helps anyone locate a family member or not, but I thought I should publish the list of those named here in this booklet.
This is what the registration says:
STATE OF UTAH,* * Registration Oath or Affirmation * * County of __Sanpete__
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I am a citizen of the United States; and shall have been such for ninety days prior to the election on the ____ day of _______, 189__; that I shall have attained the age of twenty-one years and upwards, and shall have been a resident of the State of Utah one year, and of the County of__Sanpete__, four months, and the Precinct No. __2__, in the County of __Sanpete__, for sixty days, at the time of the election on the __ day of _______, 189__; and that I am not registered elsewhere in the State of Utah for this electoral year, so help me God (or under the pain and penalties of perjury.)
