My grandfather was Charles Scott who was born in Connecticut Jan 28, 1854 and went with his parents to Wisconsin when was young. He went to Hoquiam, Washington around 1890.He died froma heart attack 4 Aug., 1916.My father(Charles Scott) was born from a 2nd marriage in 1901 and went to schools in Hoquiam until his father died and then he became a meat cutter (learning from his half brothers). His half sister, Ida Whalen, was the post mistress in the area.My grandfather was a contractor- he built a number of buildings in Hoquiam. He also built two hotels at Moclips Beach (the 1st one burned down and the second one was destroyed by a big storm ( I have pictures of it- it was very large).Charles H. Scott, Jr.
