Hi Ray, Did you know you posted on the Washington State Message Board? Oh well, doesn't matter and I can give you some information. I have ancestors who lived in Pennsylvania and then moved to Indiana in the same time frame.
I did find the Mason, Jr. Family Tree, trees.ancestry.com/tree/13972274/person/36814348 which includes a George Teeters and family. Most larger libraries have free access to Ancestry.
This George b. 1780, Pennsylvania and died 1823 in Paint, Wayne, Ohio. I'd check with the Wayne County Ohio Recorder and ask where to find death records that old. It might only be one line entered in to a book.
Then I'd do a Google search Paint wayne county ohio wills 1823 . The will should provide info about his family and even his siblings.
I found the Heath Family Tree, trees.ancestry.com/tree/14817112/person/169041846. It includes Henry Teeters and family.
It states that Henry was born 1770 in Penn., USA and died 1827 in Baughman Twp., Wayne Co., OH.
I found another Henry Teeters Death: 15 Sept. 1825, Wayne Co., Ohio Source: Wayne County Ohio Wills: 1812-1851, Wayne County Public Library; Will Abstracts, Estates and Guardianship, Wayne Co., OH 1812-1851, by Richard Smith; Ohio Obituary Index 1830s-2009, Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center Library.
The Teeters name was indexed as Fetter and therefore "lost" for years.
If your local library doesn't have two books mentioned above, ask them to do an inter-library search for them. Usually this is free and the holding library will send the book to your library. If the holding library won't release the book, ask them to zerox all the pages when Henry Teeters name appears. Successful Searching!
