Ole, aka, Johan Ole Byron, aka John Ole Byron was my grandfather. Born 05/27/1888, died december 1965. My father was August A. Byron from Blaine WA.
Johan Ole Byron was married to Ranvieg Bjornson and lived on Mitchell Ave in Blaine WA and I recall that is where my dad grew up and where we visited grandma and grandpa. I think Thor and Trig were Johan Ole’s brothers.
Louis G Byron was my uncle and a USN veteran of WWII. He died 05/31/1977. He lived up the street from us in the 60s and 70s. His mother was Ranvieg. I never heard the name Rumey before. My dad had 6 brothers and 1 sister. I personally recall Alex, Red, Connie, Louis, Melvin (mel, Ferndale) and his sister which I think was named edith (I always knew her as auntie sis) that married Henry Ehlers and they lived on Lafyette St. In Bellingham. I very much recall Louis (who had no children that I know of) and Connie whom I knew his children, my cousins, well back then. A couple of his brothers were half brothers so there was another marriage in there with Ranvieg. The name Villene comes to mind as that was my uncle Mel’s last name (Melvin Villene, Ferndale WA). Mel just passed away recently and was 100 years old. He was one of my favorite uncles.
For military service, my dad (August Byron) was in the 8th air force in WWII and stationed in England where he met my mom, Margie. Louis was in the US Navy in WWII and Connie was in the US Air Force at some point back then too. That’s all I know on that. August, my father, passed away November 2nd, 2012. He is buried at Greenacres in Ferndale with my mom Margie Byron. Louis and Johan Ole and Ranvieg are buried in the Blaine Cemetary.
This is all just from current memory. My niece has more genealogy stuff I think and goes back way further. I’ll try to remember to ask her.
