I would very much like to contact my distant cousins, the descendants of Robert F. Long, & his 1st wife, Kate Inman. Robert F. Long was born at Ironton, Sauk Co, Wis, March, 1861, the son of Stephen Moore Long (who was a member of the family of the Longs of Longfield House, Cashel, Tipperary, Ireland), & his wife, Sarah A. Robert & Kate Long had a family of eight children: 1. Winnifred D. Long, b Dec 6 1883; living 1925, of Portland, Oregon; 2. Nellie Long, b Jan 1885; 3. Walter Long, b 1887; 4. Circa 1906, Robert & Kate Long & family moved out to the West Coast & settled first in Tacoma & later at Olympia. Circa 1913, Robert & Kate divorced & Robert F. Long moved down to Portland, Oregon. Kate also moved to Portland along with some of their children. Robert had two susequent marriages: to Mrs Jennie Dodd Payne & then to Mary Lydia Royce Brackenbraugh. In 1928, Robert obtained his army pension (he served in the Spanish-American War), & retired to the National Military Home in Sawtelle, California, where he died, Oct 13, 1933. Cheers! Count Caragata
