I've read your other postings trying to find more information on this "Julia Emma Manning".You also posted in Pierce, Cowlitz Counties.
You wrote, additionally:
Julia Emma Shatto was born 1862 in Iowa married (1) James McElroy DeMoss (2) John W. Manning born abt 1871 in Illinois.According to the Vancouver City, Washington 1920 census.
I was able to find the Julia Demoss married to James Demossin Oregon...IF this is the right people:
The 1900 Census for Moro, Sherman County, Oregon
James M. DeMoss, born May 1837 in Indiana to father born in Virginia, mother in Ohio, Teacher of Music, owned the home, married 10 years
Julie E, born April 1861 in Iowa to both parents born in Pennsylvania
John M, son, born April 1896 in Oregon
Ruth B, dau, born May 1898 in Oregon.
The 1910 Census for Moro, Sherman County, OR
James M. Demoss, age 72, born in Indiana to father born in VA, mother in OH, Minister/Baptist, married 20 years
Emma, age 48, born in Iowa to both parents born in Ohio
John, age 13, born in OR
Ruth, age 11, OR
The 1920 Census for Monkland, Sherman Co, OR, enumerated 26-28 Jan.
John M. DeMoss, age 23
Etha M, 22
Donald R, 2 2/12 (census enum. 26-28 Jan, so born about Oct/Nov 1917)
Elven W, 1 3/12 (born about Sep/Oct 1918)
--The Oregon Marriage Index showed John M. DeMoss marriage on 29 Sep 1916.But there is no information on a Ruth DeMoss or first name beginning with a "B"
The Oregon Archives: http://genealogy.state.or.us/http://genealogy.state.or.us/For "Demoss", shows six records, two concerned Delayed Birth Certificate Petitions. These were for John and his wife, Etha, filed for births in Sherman County.
The Washington Archives:http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/default.aspxhttp://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/default.aspxFor "Demoss" shows a Julia DeMoss marriage in 1944 in Yakima COunty, WA, to a B.J. Creach. But, there is NO PROOF this is even the same person. But, Yakima is about as far from Moro, Oregon, as is Vancouver.
I looked into the Washington Death Certificate Index, but no findings. That means, she didn't die in Washington, she died in Washington under a different name, she died in Washington but isn't in the database.
Although the Julie in Clark County matches criteria, there isn't enough information there to prove it was the same person. The earlier census shows her parents born in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and an intermix of the two, as does the 1920 Census. But, I'm sure many Julie's were born in Iowa with that mixture.
Do you have additional information on this person for proof ?I did research in the area, but, there is no proof she, or he died there. If it IS the correct person, there is no indication on how long she may have been in Clark County. Is there any information concerning Ruth, and where she might have been in 1920?
Cemetery Transcriptions are "available", but most are not transcribed, of those that are, graves are missing due to missing them by the person, broken or missing stones, or database errors.
