I'm interest in where Thumbville, a "lumber town," was located in Columbia Co.I am seeking info on the surname Walsh and their association with the following from a book's section on "Ghost Towns":
"Thumbville was a lumber town on Robinson Fork. It flourished in the 1880's. One rode a wagon or walked into the town and took a fast ride to Dayton on a fifteen-mile flume that carried logs or travellers or both to Dayton."
In another section, it says that Robinson Fork is on the "Touchet" and it says that the flumes were 21 miles long.
Any information on Tumbville or the Walsh family will be greatly appreciated.
