From his obituary: John L Taylor, Orthopedic Helper, Dies For many years, Mr. Taylor was in charge of the club's welfare work at the Children's Orthopedic Hospital. Mr. Taylor was president and manager of the Washington Excelsior & Manufacturing Company. He lived for a time in Ohio and PA., where he engaged in the furniture business with his brothers. Mr. Taylor was believed to be the oldest active man in the excelsior business on the Pacific Coast. Surviving are his wife, Clara Blanch Taylor; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Taylor Armitage, Seattle; two sons, Robert Taylor, Seattle and Prof. Craig Taylor, an engineering teacher at the University of California at Los Angeles; and two granddaughters, Janet and Roberta Taylor, both of Seattle.
It would appear that you need to search for the furniture business in PA., but he certainly was engaged in business in Seattle.
