Karl Bostrom was taken to Monroe yesterday by Travelling Guard J. F. Laythan to begin his sentence of from six months to 10 years. John Johnson, who was convicted at the same time as Bostrom, will be taken to the prison at Walla Walla.

Karl G. Bostrom and John Johnson, the transients who were picked up by the police a number of days ago and were fined for being drunk and then held on a serious statuatory charge, have each been sentenced to from six months to 10 years in the state penitentiary at Walla Walla.
Johnson pleaded guilty when first brought before Judge Wright in the superior court and was given his sentence. Brostrom pleaded not guilty and was held for jury trial, but finally changed his mind and with it his plea. He was sentenced yesterday.
