My great-grandparents Fronie/Sophronia O.SMITH (b. Nov. 20,1858.d. Sept 8,1925) and George W. RUSSELL(b.Sept.9,1855. d.Nov.29, 1939)were married Nov. 2, 1878 in Barnum, Adams County, Wisconsin. I have yet to check the soundex for the Wis. census, but I'm hoping that perhaps someone will recognize the names and be able to give me a line on the SMITH family. According to a family Bible inscription, Mr. OSCAR SMITH was in attendance and E.C. BOOTH (minister)officiated. Oscar is the only Smith name I know, so I feel as if I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. I believe that Fronie's family was from OHIO as she was born there.Fronie and George didn't stay in Adams county and I'm not sure whether she had any family there or not.George's family was from the Fremont, WI area.Oscar is the only real lead.
Do any of these names mean anything to anyone out there? Thanks in advance for any help.
