Jeremy R. Stromquist, 18, of 6320 S. Old Lyman Lake Road, South Range, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001 at 1409 Hammond Ave., Superior, Douglas County, Wisconsin.
He was born March 21, 1983 in Superior and was a lifelong area resident. He was a student at WITC in Superior, majoring in law enforcement. Jeremy worked at Louis' Cafe and Perkins Restaurant, both in Superior.
He was a 2001 graduate of Superior Senior High School, and while at East Junior High School he played on the basketball team. He attended New Hope Presbyterian Church and its Sunday School for many years. His other interests included Boy Scouts, fishing, riding snowmobiles and ATVs.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Brenda (Olaf) Stromquist, South Range; paternal grandparents, Arvid and Evelyn Stromquist, South Range; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Genevieve Olaf; and his uncle, Kenneth Stromquist.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, with services being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Downs Funeral Home, with Rev. Cheri Danielson of the Pioneer Presbyterian Parish officiating. Internment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Stromquist, Andrew Stromquist, Tony Babcock, Kris Ciocarelli, Randy Martin and John Adolphson.
