David I think we are related to the same Polly A. But the name in N Collins, Erie Co.,NY was CARLEY(not Cooley). After many years I JUST FOUND that Jonathan & Desire Carley moved to Manchester, WI for the 1860 census. 1850 & 1870 Census they are in the N Collins, Erie Co., NY census.I could not figure out WHY they would move to WI unless they followed a sibling. Now, you have hit the note I was looking for. I am related to Polly A ,sister, BETSEY who married into my line (HEMAN ANNIS). They went to Manchester, Del., Co, IOWA about 1853 and Betsey died there and was the first person buried in the Spring Branch cemetery..East of MAnchester, IA.My relationship is through THOMAS JASON ANNIS.... Heman's brother. He & his family also resided in Manchester, IOWA.
I cannot tell you what happened to POLLY... but I think you have solved a problem for me.
Jonathan & Desire (Starks) Carley had about 6 kids: BETSEY(~ 1819) mar.
