Ole and Julia had at least 6 children, possibly more. Both Ole and Julia were born in Norway along with their two oldest children, Julia and Elling.By the ages of their children born in Wisconsin, they most likely arrived 1851-1853.
Ole was still alive in the 1900 census, but is listed as a widower so Julia must have died sometime after the 1880 census. The 1895 Wisconsin State Census lists 3 males and 1 female in the household.Since Rachel is unmarried in the 1900 census, it is likely that the one female in this household is her indicating that Julia has died.
