Isabella Kyle Kingston was born April 12, 1811 near Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois and died February 24, 1896 in Milton, Umatilla County, Oregon, at the residence of her daughter Mrs. Maria Clarissa Fay Brown, at age 84 years, 10 months, and 12 days – buried in the City Cemetery, Milton, Umatilla County, Oregon.
Isabella Kingston married Harrison Kelley Fay (some say Kellog) born September 10, 1808 in Southborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts (some say New York) and died 1850 (some say about 1845) – Harrison drowned in the Wisconsin River near Portage County, Wisconsin at age 42 years, falling from a raft of lumber which he was taking down the river. (“Lazy Phelps, Fay, Hall and Lee were drowned at Little Bull (in regards to running (lumber on) Little Bull at Grand Rapids),” per Jack Clarke, an old time Wausau lumberman – he further mentions that John Kingston (Isabella’s brother and Paul’s son) ran the rapids – those men on rafts were referred to as “pilots.”)
Isabella and Harrison married December 11, 1832 in Illinois, probably near her home, (possibly in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois or Lewiston, Fulton County, Illinois). Isabella and Harrison had 8 children.
Isabella Kingston's parents were:
Paul Kingston was born February 01, 1783 in probably Bantry, of County Cork of Ireland (some say London, England). He died January 07, 1864 in Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin at age 80 years, 11 months, and 6 days and is buried in the Bay View Cemetery, Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin with his son Senator John Tabor Kingston and daughter-in-law Hannah Dawes Kingston and some of their children;
Paul married first Isabella Garretson (some say ‘Mary’ Isabella Garretson) born in 1780 (some say about 1782 or 1784) in Ohio County, Virginia (some say in Ireland – but incorrect) and she probably died between 1830 and 1840 in Illinois; (looking at census records, this author supposes that Isabella died between 1830 and 1840; 1830 Census - in possibly Fulton County, of Illinois or 1840 Census - in most probably Lake County of Illinois – although they lived in Racine, Racine County in between those two censuses – at least from January 2, 1835 until possibly January 1838), (some say Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin).
Paul and Isabella were married February 09, 1810 in St. Clair County, Illinois (when Paul was age 27 and Isabella was age 30 years).
Paul Kingston married second Mrs. Mary Yard born 1785 in New York, and of Little Fort (Waukegan) Lake County, Illinois and she possibly died before 1860 in probably Illinois.
Paul and Mary married May 18, 1841 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois (when Paul was age 58 and Mary was age 56 years). (Paul and Mary were on the 1850 Census in Waukegan, Lake County, Illinois)
