I seek the parents of Daniel Doty Clark, b @ 1824,OH, who married Catherine Voorhis Bridge.
He may have died in Richwood, Richland Co., WI between 1874 and 1880.
They married April 25, 1850, in Green Co., WI, where they show up on the same 1850 Census, living next to Jonathan E. Clark, in Jefferson Twp.
I am trying to determine if Jonathan E. Clark is the father of Daniel Doty Clark.
The grandmother, of Daniel Doty Clark's wife, is Deborah Clark Bridge. (These Bridge / Clark families migrated from Preble County Ohio, to Green County WI @ 1834.) She, Deborah, dies in 1848. Her son, David Clark Bridge, married Catherine Voorhis(sister-in-law of Jonathan E. Clark). They name a daughter, CATHERINE VOORHIS BRIDGE and it is she, Catherine V. Bridge. who marries DANIEL DOTY CLARK. I have no proof, either, that Deborah Clark Bridge is a sister of Jonathan E. Clark, just many proximity clues with migration and land records from Preble County Ohio and Green Co., WI.
I find Catherine V. Clark as a widow of Daniel Doty Clark, in the 1880 Federal Census for Richwood, Richland Co., WI. Catherine age 48 widow William age 24 son Thomas age 22 son Evaline age 17 John age 14 Leroy age 12
William Clark, above, son of Daniel Doty Clark and Catherine V. Bridge, marries Laura Isabell Appleby, of Richwood, Richland Co., WI, Oct 5, 1880.
I hope to find more information regarding the children above, and to learn where Daniel Doty is buried, and who his parents were. He shows as having land in Richwood, section 31, in a 1874 Plat map. His wife is a 48yr old widow, by 1880. Any help is appreciated. Happy to share. Write Pamela firstname.lastname@example.org
