Edward John Long (1827-1905) [3rd son of Edward & Mary Long, of Fort Edward & Longfield, Tipperary], & his wife Amanda Maria Wood (1835-1924) [daughter of William Elliot Wood & Mahala Johnson], resided at Longfield Farm, Buck Creek, Town of Rockbridge, Richland Co, Wisconsin. They had five children: 1. Marshal Wm Long (1859-1934), of Stoneville, SD, & of McAlester, Oklahoma; married 1st, Elizabeth Ann Welton (1858-1905); 2. Robert Henry Long (1861-1950), of Longfield Farm, Buck Creek, Rockbridge, Richland Co, Wis; married Mary Eva Jones (1862-1932) [daughter of Samuel Jones & Mary Ann Belinda Van Tassel] 3. Ida Victoria Long (1863-1943), married Peter Jeremiah Black (1856-1908), of Viola & Tomah, Wisconsin; 4. Sarah Helena Long (1866-1941), married Samuel Eugene Jones (1853-1937) [brother of Mary Eva Jones who married Robert Henry Long], of Pittsville, Wood Co, Wisconsin, & of Necedah, Juneau Co, Wis; & 5. Edna Elnora Long (1880-1943), married her 1st cousin, Frank Elliot Wood (1866-1958), of Plains, Saunders Co, Montana.
