I am working on these Bleck brothers. They were in Oshkosh in the early 1900's.I have some cemetery records for Herman and Max.Herman Bleck's obituary names a brother, Oscar. I saw today, on the LDS site, that there were these same brothers all born and baptised in Lobsens, Posen Prussia.Their parents are:
August Gottlieb Bleck and Johanna Maria Kazdepka.
Rudolph Bertold Bleck b. July 27, 1860 Herman Julius Bleck b. Sept 26, 1861 Max Theodore Bleck b. Nov 30, 1862 Oskar Leopold Bleck b. Aug 02, 1870 (there may be others)
I think that this Rudolph Berthold Bleck marries Alma Schmidt.Any confirmation to this is appreciated. They had a dau Erna, die very young.Family letters tell that Alma Bleck worked in Oshkosh, for a family, for many years.I would enjoy connecting with anyone aware of this family.I do not know where Alma Bleck is buried or when she died.
I find it fascinating that the name Kazdepka shows up in Lobsens.I have been searching, without success, for the name Kasdepke, in that general area of Prussia.Alma nee Schmidt Bleck's father, August Schmidt, marries second, to Johanna nee Siewert(didn't emigrate). Her mother was Julianne Kasdepke. It sets me to wonder if they are connected someway.
note: The Siewert Brothers who are the Oshkosh butchers, are Johanna nee Siewert Schmidt's brothers.I have already posted about them in this forum. Her first son, Leonard Schmidt, b. 1880, Prussia, is my gt gpa, and Alma R. Bleck is his older half sister. Any help is welcome.....happy to share. Pamela Servicepjaz@pacbell.net
