George J Bean, born NH about 1812, died December 27 1879.I found his death listed in an OshKosh newspaper, but it doesn't tell anything more other than his date of death and him being a resident. **** Geo J. Bean, residing No: 30 Broad Street, an old resident , died this forenoon after an illness of two years. *****
There's also a question of his middle name.. I've seen other letters used for the middle name and I'm not entirely certain what his middle name may be.
Can anyone find more on him?? I'd like to find an obit that has more details, as to where he actually died and where he may be buried. The Wisconsin vital records will not send a death record without the missing vital information. An application was sent in and returned because of missing information. I don't find George's death listed in the Wisconsin list either so he could have died elsewhere but a resident of Oshkosh at the time, I've entertained the idea also, that George may not be his real name,,,, but on both marriages, it's listed as George J. Bean.
His wife's name was Charlotte. George had two children from a previous marriage. Both marriages occured in Massachusetts. Charlotte & George J. Bean moved to Wisconsin from Massachusetts about 1855.He previously lived in Rosendale, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin before living in OshKosh.
If anyone finds anything about the lawsuit that Charlotte E. Bean filed in January 1880, I'd like to hear more. My feeling is that it had something to do with George's death.
Charlotte Bean went on to marry a Mr. Thomas Love.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
