Covey, who has been gradually failing in health for about four weeks of consumption, died at his home on the North side, at about three o’clock on Sunday afternoon.From the time he was taken sick the physician in charge, Dr. Loope, did not give but little hope, of any improvement, as the old gentleman had little vitality and the body was about worn out.Mr. Covey leaves a widow, two daughters and one son.He has lived here many years, and was highly respected by all who knew him.The funeral was held from the family residence, at 10 o’clock on Tuesday forenoon.Rev. Charlton preached the sermon.Mr. Covey was 76 years old.
