The following from the Veterans’ Home Cor. of the Waupaca Republican, refers to a former resident of this village:Once more death has invaded the sanctuary of our Home.On Tuesday April 10th as the bell was sounding the assembly for the mid-day meal, Comrade Henry D. Pryor breathed his last.He was sixty-three years old, and as near as we can learn, his death was caused by a tumor on the liver.Mr. Pryor served about four years during the rebellion, in Co. “B” of the famous old 14th Infantry, and be it said to his credit, he was as good a soldier as there was in that regiment of heroes. His funeral occurred on Friday last at the Home chapel, the Rev. E. Perry officiating, and all that was mortal of Comrade Pryor was consigned to mother earth in the Home cemetery.
