Jimmy Darrell Bucklew Jimmy Darrell Bucklew, 64, of Mayfield Road, Morgantown, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at home following a lengthy illness. He was born July 24, 1937, in Morgantown, son of Viola Pearl Summers Bucklew, of Tyrone Road, and the late James William Bucklew.
He had been employed as a shipping manager for Independent Dressed Beef for 28 years and had worked at Sterling Faucet for 12 years. He attended the Hillview Chapel and served with the Army Reserves. Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered for his enjoyment of wildlife, gardening and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dian McConnaughey Bucklew; a daughter and spouse, Cathy and Marvin Kinsley, of Morgantown; a son and wife, Rodney and Michelle Bucklew, of Morgantown; a brother, Rick Bucklew, of Morgantown; two sisters, Betty Campbell and Barbara Sigley, both of Morgantown; and five grandchildren, Rodney Bucklew Jr., Brooke Bucklew, Jeremy Kinsley, Brittani Kinsley and Kimberly Kinsley.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Zeigler; and an infant brother.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 with Pastor Barney Snowdon and the Rev. David Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Nicholson Cemetery.
