I'm Joe Ramirez. Our family( Gregorio and Consuelo Ramirez) migrated to Wapato in the summer of 1943, and bought a house in Donald that same year. Donald is about 3 miles from Wapato. My Step Grandfather, Juan Gonzalez owned proprerty in the town of Worland, known as the Colonia de Don Juan. There were about 12 to 14 Mexican families living and renting there. Most families lived there year around working in the beets and railroad. My father started a church therearound 1927 and most of the Colonia families were church members as the Colonia grew. Some families were the Pedro and Junatia Garcia, Abraham Sanchez, Martin, Felipe Rico, Arturo and Virginia Montez (my Aunt and Uncle) Andres and Maria Ramirez Villalovos (my Aunt and Uncle) to name some of them. I'm interested in your research and why. Are you some how related to a Worland family? I still have brothers and sisters living in Yakima who were born in Worland prior to 1940.
