G. Raymond Aaron, 80, was dead on arrival at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 1974, at Fairbury hospital. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic church with Rev. Charles E. Karl officiating. Burial was at St. Rose cemetery, Strawn. He was born April 5, 1894, at Strawn, the son of George and Catherine O'Neil Aaron. He married Izetta Hickey March 4, 1924 at Urbana. Surviving are his wife; one son, Thomas Aaron, Fairbury; four daughters, Mrs. Frances Kammerman of Fairbury, Mrs. Bette Harms of Forrest, Mrs. Jean Roger, Chillicothe and Mrs. Helen Knight, Arlington Heights; two sisters, Mrs. Rita Keeley, Chicago and Mrs. Mary Heenan, Oak Forest; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by on daughter and one granddaughter. He was a farmer in the Chatsworth and Strawn area. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Pontiac Barracks of World War I veterans, a member of the Forrest VFW, a member of the Chatsworth American Legion and a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic church. Pallbearers were Don Askew, William Somers, John T. Franey, Glenn Schroeff, Clifford McGreal and Kenneth Hanson. Walter Clemons Post of the American Legion conducted graveside rites.
