I am a fifth generation descendant of Emma Hebert and Napoleon Light. Emma was born June 17, 1866 in Sciota, NY and died May 30, 1907. Her father was Charles Hebert b. 1825? in St. Johns, Canada and her mother's name was Sarah b. 1834? in Canada. I can not find further information on her parents and their ancestors. Charles was one of the founders of the St. Peters Church in Plattsburgh. I have in a copy of his obituary in a family genealogy book dated April 22, 1919 from a Pawtucket, RI newspaper titled "Charles Hebert, Aged Patriot, Dies at 98". His widow's name is not listed, however, a daughter, Mrs. Frank Boule of Central Falls, and two step-daughters, Libbie Lemondy and Mrs. Lucy Croteau of Plattsburgh are listed. Charles' residence at the time of his death is 138 Montcalm Ave., Plattsburgh. He is listed on the 1880 census (Year: 1880; Census Place: Plattsburgh, Clinton, New York; Roll: T9_820; Family History Film: 1254820; Page: 487D; Enumeration District: 33; Image: 0306.) as residing at 84 Platt Street in Plattsburgh. Emma is buried with Napoleon in the St. Peters Cemetary in Plattsburgh with the Walter Light family. I also have information for the descendents of Emma and Napoleon. I have copies of several photographs including one of Emma and 6 of her 11 children dated 1896, one of Napoleon Light's extended family including Charles Hebert and his wife dated 1916, and single portraits of both Napoleon and Emma. I could probably locate the originals to have them scanned, as my copies appear to be photocopied and are not the best quality.
