Dear Dave,
Got your package today in the mail.Sorry I haven't responded to this earlier but we had a microburst hit our valley here a few weeks ago and it fried my modum as well as taking down a few trees and electrical lines, the roof of a few barns and farm buildings on our property. It was an interesting experience. No we are not descended from Edwin Lamont. (Wish we were, would love to have that kind of info.)Our ancestry goes back through Gilbert Haws of Kentucky and his wife, Hannah Whitcomb.Hannah Whitcomb is the line. Her father married a Bidlack/ (Bidlake) which eventually goes back to Benjamin Bidlack who md. Lydia Abbe on 22 Sep 1722 in Windham, Connecticut. She is the daughter of John Abbe, Jr. and Hannah Goldsmith. His father; John Abbe, Senior andmother; Mary Laring.
Thanks again for sharing. It is good to know there are cousins out there who care and are interested in this hobbie or as I call it, compulsive research. It really sucks me into it's grasp and I spend way too much time on it, but there are so many stories and people to learn about.
We are going to be gone over the weekend to our son's home in Snowflake, Arizona. They are blessing their new baby daughter Sunday and all our children and Grandchildren will be there. We are a family oriented people.
Sincerely,Terry Lunt
If I read this Money business right, the amount I owe you would be $5.53, is that correct?Let me know and I will put that in the mail as soon as I get your reply.I do appreciate the work and expense you have gone to to get all this information.Wish I could do that kind of research.Going to England would be such a rewarding experience, especially seeing where all your ancestors are from and being there among their spirits in the graveyard.
