There were some Abbotts in Nebraska that went on a cattle drive possibly? Abbotts are mentioned in "The Ladder of Rivers" a story about Print Olive a notorious Olive Boy gang member. Two Abbott brothers fled to Canada, I am told after a dispute with the Olive brothers. Olivers, Abotts, Lawrences, Millers in TX were cattlemen. Many Abbotts, Lawrences end up in CA. Adam Lawrence was a noted pioneer of N. TX, early Arkansas Territory. Came to TX in 1821. He left the area and bought part of L.A. and Beverly Hills, then had a bad run of luck with cattle and came back to TX. Have some in other places, but little info on them really. LDS has something on them, but I haven't looked at their ancest. files, due to not being very good at PC's, and the CD kept locking up. I am still not giving up! You might find some info in my other posts. Hope it helps someone.
