David &Sarah Cook Abbott NY 1830

Need infomation on David and Sarah Cooke Abbott.They lived in Marcellous Ny where my gggrandfather (James D.) was born in 1832.Their other children were George who married Lucy Ford, Cooke who never married, Ruth Ann who married John Lyman and Rebecca Jane who married Harry Griffin. Have Sarah's line but unable to find anything about David.He could have been from KY.He drowned on August 18,1839.Family said he was related to Lyman Abbott the minister.Was told by older relative how family went from NC to NY to hear Lyman preach. Any help would be appreciated.
